I was fortunate to be at the right place at the right time last Sunday fishing with family and friends prior to the solar eclipse. We had been watching a pair of Osprey circling the lake and I decided to video one with my cell phone camera. I am blessed to have been able to capture an Osprey and a Bald Eagle successfully take a Rainbow Trout home for dinner as well in this one minute video:

I hope you enjoy watching the video as much as I did shooting it. The joy in my son's face is priceless!

Very nice video. Didn't look like y'all were have that good luck catching fish. Or you were attracting them to the surface so the birds could catch them easier....

We brought home 14 trout that morning between the two families. I think the trout the Bald Eagle grabbed was one my son had caught previously but it didn't recover from having the hook removed. I think he might have squeezed it a bit too tight, but at least it helped with the circle of life.

Well, that's not a bad haul. Should get a breakfast and dinner out of that. My luck as a fisherman is pretty bad. I have caught fish that were smaller than the bait I was using. I told that to my ex father-in-law when we were visiting in Conn. His boat dock was right on Long Island Sound. He took us out fishing and sure enough-----did it again....

Now I just fish without a hook or bait.
