I have Gigabit fiber from Centurylink. It was just made available within the past couple months. It's $75 a month. I'm in the Hillcrest area, not sure how widely available it is.
I have fiber optic in my subdivision (Mace River Ranch, Eagle) as well with CL and love it. Pay $39 month. But it is not available in all areas in any one city. Your realtor can help and on the business web pages of internet providers you can enter an address to see if it’s available.

If you are in Boise you will have fiber optic in most areas. If you live in some outlying areas, there may not be fiber optic. I live in the hills north of Star. Fiber Optic has not made it up the hill yet. I use satellite internet. No problem streaming even on multiple devices. Some providers work better than others.
The new subdivisions off N Munger Rd. in Star have fiber optic. We have CableOne. We just moved in so I can't tell you anything about the service.
