Hi there!
We just moved to the Meridian area and were looking for some recommendations for doggie daycare in the meridian or boise area. Also, can anyone recommend a great boarding facility? I am looking for places with extra pampering
Try this one, Angel's Pet Sitting & Bed N Biscuit. Nancy Taylor, the owner does a dynamite job. She's a former vet tech so she knows her stuff. We had an elderly cat that had a few special needs and Nancy was so great to work with, we never worried when we were out of town.
Intermountain Pet Hospital, quality care with a loving touch. (http://www.intermountainvet.com/petlodge/aboutus.asp - broken link)
I like the Pet Lodge at Intermountain Vet. Clean and friendly and not too far...next to Boondocks.
Probably the best vet in town next to West Vet. Nancy Taylor, the gal I just referred was the one who referred me to Intermountain Pet Hospital when we first moved here. Dr. Beede and staff are wonderful!
Meridian, I know there's a big vet center off the freeway there that's new. I live downtown and go to "downtown hound" they're small little shop with a walking path out the back, but mostly for smaller dogs when boarding. If you have a larger dog someplace with more space is definetely in order. I do know that downtown hound pampers the hell out of your furry little friend when it comes to cuts and grooms hehehe
Wherever decide to check out, make certain they are willing to give you a tour of the facility.
I work at a pet hotel in SE Idaho and we always encourage folks to come have a tour, not allowing a tour is a red flag.
This type of thread is always a need, IMHO.
I absolutely agree with Cleosmom! Tour the facility, ask questions regardless of the location anywhere in the U.S. Closed doors or a policy of no tours - !
It seems like you've gotten some good suggestions, shannonann. I hope you find the perfect place for you and your pet/pets.
Thank you everyone for your help!
We looked into Intermountain which seemed lovely, but disliked that we could not bring Shannon's toys and crate from home.
We visited Downtown Hound lounge and although it cost more, we really were pleased! It was so clean and somehow didn't even smell like dogs (amazing!) We also like that they separate small and large dogs. I also loved the webcam you could watch from their webpage. We are going to give her a trial day of doggie daycare in a couple of weeks.
cool glad you liked downtown hound... they're really good, and yes a bit more expensive but you seemed to want that special touch for your furry friend... and they will definetely provide that
