I got no friends and need something fun to do this weekend. I have a small prius, so I cant transport a kayak. Wondering if there is anywhere near a river where I can rent a paddle and a kayak to just go?
Thanks!

I entered the phrase, "kayak rentals in Boise" into Google, and three hits came up on top. All open at 10:00 today. First link below that is to yelp with the title, "Top 10 Best Kayak Rental in Boise, ID"

Boise River Raft & Tube Rentals (208)577-4584 (4.5 stars with 235 reviews)

Are those close to the river though? I have no way to transport them right now.

I gave you their phone numbers. Call them! Or, use Google yourself and look at the map.

Only one was open. Boise River and Raft might be the best one. It starts at Barbara park I think. Idaho River Sports is near a couple ponds and the Boise Whitewater park. The third don't know where it is. I'd say the Barbara Park Boise River and Raft might be best. I'm just looking for points to go on the river. Also points to start rafting in Caldwell and Nampa too.

"More Options":
https://www.google.com/search?q=kaya...20in%2520Boise
Look at
Paddle Board Idaho
Quinn Ponds
City of Boise might have classes open again later in summer.
Same for Treasure Valley YMCA.
Raft outfitters might be another option later on.
Paddling clubs / meetups https://www.google.com/search?client...e-gws-wiz-serp
If you got into the sport, you might consider buying a good inflatable or fold up kayak https://www.google.com/search?q=fold...obile&ie=UTF-8 or renting an SUV for trips to extend your location flexibility.
Of course give careful consideration to safety. For you and waterproof / secure solutions for things like wallet, keys, watch, camera, whatever else.
