Rumor is that Joe's sporting goods, is closing down its store in Nampa. What about the Meridian store?

The entire Joes chain in the Northwest; Idaho, Washington, Oregon is closing, so it isn't just the Nampa store.
Sad but true.

The same liquidation company that did the Circuit City liquidation is running it so there are not many if any deals going on right now. Everyone is saying the deals were a lot better the days before they went out of business and that the new liquidators marked the prices back up to full retail or above to make it seem like you were getting a good deal with 10% off. So buyer beware!

Plus every dollar you spend at that store is a dollar one of the other local sporting good companies who may be struggling to survive isnt going to get... just something to ponder on.
