I will stay in Boise for a short period of time (a few months) and don't want to drive from the east coast to ID. Is it convenient to take buses in Boise?

Thanks.

No! Public transport is certainly lacking in the area. It would be very hard to live without a car. It is a much more suburban minded community.

Well, I take the bus quite a bit.
If your'e going to stay in the more populated areas of the valley; taking the bus is an option.

If you'll be here in the summer, try buying a bike at a second hand shop.

That would help quite a bit.

I've ridden the Boise bus system lots, and it ranges from barely adequate (on a good day) to outright pathetic.
