Will somebody please describe this area? I looked at their site, but I want info from somebody who visits the place...... Is it crowded with hikers? Swimmers? Kayaks? Never crowded? Lots of picnic areas or too many bugs? Don't go there if you don't have a horse? Great place to fish or 'wouldn't eat anything caught there'? Buy an annual pass or just buy a day pass here and there? Only go there because it's conveniently located in proximity to your house or a great place? Man-made lake or stream running through it loaded with trout or ?

TIA.

Took my kids swimming there last year.
Nice swimming beach with lots of shaded picnic areas.
Very close to the big city but very green and pretty.
I saw people fishing farther down from the swimming beach.

what we saw was a wide slow moving river area where the kids were swimming.
Try to look at it from google earth and you will get a better feel for the lay out.
