I am thinking of relocating with my employer to boise from Bellingham, Washington. I never thought i would live in Boise, because i LOVE being close to the water..there is no ocean in Boise. Can anyone tell me where I should look for a furnished apartment that offers a city view or view of the river?
Where should I start to find a good property management company so i can rent my new place from here, and just drive there and start to move in.
Also, what is the Greenbelt, and is it ok if i am black or will the klan run my black but out ..lol (seriously)

There are a number of apartments near the river - I just forget the name of most of them. Maybe your best bet is a place called the Landing or the Landing at Lake Harbor or something. It is close to the river and to a few small ponds/lakes to canoe in or whatever.

The Greenbelt is a paved path running along the river for, I think 26 miles now?

You'll be fine being black in Boise. Keep in mind it's primarily white here, but if you're from Bellingham the atmosphere will be similar. Boise is growing more diverse by the year, and it's exciting to see that.

(By the way, I know a number of people that have moved from Boise to Bellingham because they liked B'ham so much - I think B'ham is actually my favorite place in the US.)

That sounds awesome! I love Bellingham, and I really don't want to leave, but the economy is such that finding a new job is really tough up here for the right money. If my employer wants to pay me the same to move and give up moving expenses, who am i to completely turn my nose up @ Boise. I have to see it for myself. I am so comfortable with the diversity here in Bellingham,so it looks like I will be ok thank you so much. I looked up that apartment complex, The Landing @ Lake Harbor, and it's very nice; thanks for the recommendation. Do you know anyone who lived there, or is it the best neighborhood with a nice view?
