I'm currently reading it, about 50 pages in. I'm a fast reader and thoroughly enjoy (usually) any books about crimes/police/etc, but I'm having such a tough time with this book! I feel like it jumps around too much and goes into too much detail about members of the Vidocq. I hope it gets better!

I wonder if you liked it any better? I am about halfway through and think it is a great read. I keep thinking that all the folks who love watching CSI and the like would love this. ( I am really liking the book even though I am not too much a fan of CSI and those shows). The vidocq vidoqc? society is amazing; it's so hard for me to grasp that this is non-fiction!!

I don't watch CSI or those shows, so this is not my typical reading fare but this was just really interesting. There was a good amount of talk about this one, but it seems to have quieted down. I am just "bumping" this because it is one of those that if you don't know to look for it you will be missing out.
