I loved Orphan Train and got the ones you mentioned. I'm cautiously hopeful that I will like them as it is not unheard of for me to love one book by an author and not even like in the least bit their other books.

Ordinarily, a book such as The Way Life Should Bewouldn't appeal to me. It looked like it might be chick lit. After downloading the sample, it looked interesting. From the sample, it doesn't seem to have too many sentences that with "I did this" and I did that." We'll shall see.

I haven't even looked at it. Just thought it was worth getting since I loved Orphan Train. Of course, it'll probably be months before I finally read it. I have that whole I need this book now! mentality and then I don't read the book now.

As much as I was enjoying A Constellation of Vital Phenomena, I made a mistake. I started it when I knew that, after only two days of reading, I'd have no time for it for a week. Then, when I went back to it, I felt lost. I tried skimming the beginning to reconnect with it, but I still felt lost. I tried really reading it from the beginning again, but felt bored because I'd already read it (even though I didn't remember much of it). So... I'll save it for another time.

I'm going to try Family Life by Akhil Sharma next.

The NYT had a very good synopsis. It's on my list. Amazing how big investors could' figure this scam out. These three guys are heroes.

Now I am starting The Maze Runner which is another YA book. I didn't realize it was book 1 of a series. I hope it can work as a stand alone as I have about 9 books in transit for me from the library

The Maze Runner (Book 1): James Dashner: 9780385737951: Amazon.com: Books
I didn't know what to make of the Maze Runner. It's a little like The Hunger Games, a little like Delirium. Sometimes I think some authors don't have enough fantasy to think something up on their own... But I liked it nevertheless. It'll be out as a movie soon, too.

Let me know if you liked it.

Diana

Finished "The Immortal Circus: Act Two", which was okay. Now I'm 22% deep into "Voyager" by Diana Gabaldon. It was good to take a little break in between the second and third part of the series.
