I finished Shadow Spell by Nora Roberts last night. It was a nice easy read and I enjoyed it but it was not up to par with some of her other books. For me it was the same old thing. Maybe I have read too many of her books

I just started Looking For Me by Beth Hoffman. I liked Beth Hoffman's Saving Cee Cee Honeycutt so I hope this book will be enjoyable.

I enjoyed Wool by Hugh Howey a lot, but am finding the prequel, Shift, a slow and tedious slog. It toggles back and forth between two settings and I'm lost about what is going on in one of the settings. I'm 50% of the way through and am not sure if I'll finish or not.

I'll be interested in hearing what you think of the book, Lisa. I, too, really liked Saving Cee Cee Honeycutt. It was a surprise because I didn't think I would like it but I sure did.

I bought my friend Edmond Manning's book I Probably Shouldn't Have Done That to read on the plane on Thursday. It's perfect for a plane trip since I have a short attention span while flying. It's short, it's a bunch of his stories (one of which I'd read after he wrote it but before it was published, and it was FABULOUS and touching), and he's the funniest guy I know.

I'm not far enough along not along to comment but I will

BTW, thank you for recommending Call The Midwife. I loved the book. Have you read the other two in the series?

Just finished William Gibson's Neuromancer.

Shows some age with the characters using payphones and stuff but still really good. It probably wouldn't take much revising and you would think the book was written last year.

Oops! Yes, I have read all three Call the Midwife books, Lisa.

Okay, so I am replying to my own post. How weird is that? Wait! It's okay because I've seen Dawn do it, too, so it must be okay. Right? That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
