Finished "Pieces Of My heart" the memoirs of Robert Wagner. What a random book.

I'm not reading "The Doctor's Wife" by Elizabeth Brundage.

"Killing grounds" by Dana Stabenow. I already read more than half the book but it's slooooow. Too much love for Alaska and the native reservations but slow story.

I'm reading "Olive Kitteridge" by Elizabeth Strout. It's a wonderful novel that just won the Pulitzer Prize. I'm reading it for my book club and it's very difficult to put down!

I'm currently reading a fascinating bio of movie star Susan Hayward. Talk about a cheapskate! Unbelievably tight with money! And so vindictive!

While on a recent trip to Washington/Oregon I read Strange Piece of Land.
About two Yale female students who were on a cross-country bike trip back in 1977 and happened to spend the night at the Cline Falls campground, where some deranged man drove over their tent with his truck, and if that wasn't enough, then got out to hack them with axes. They both survived. I was reading this while touring Oregon, believe it or not!

I've always had my suspicions and fears about campgrounds, and this clinched my decision never to stay one in ever!

In the mid-90's she went back to Bend, Oregon to track down her assailant, and, through much research and deligence, she found him!

Incredible true crime book!

Also stopped at some Goodwills along the way and came back with some meaty books which really weighed down my baggage.

Can you give me the author's name for "Strange Piece of Land?" I can't locate the "Strange Piece of Land" book on Zooba or amazon.

They both sound so good. Thanks for the info.

But when a dog lives his life to the fullest, owners didn't give up on him, the tears are not only for sadness but some joy as well
