I'm reading "Couldn't Keep it to Myself" that Wally Lamb put out but its stories are the stories of the women of York Correctional Institution, in Connecticut, I believe. These imprisoned women took a writing class from Wally Lamb, and their writing and stories are unbelieveable they will move you to tears. I highly recommend this book.
Just finished "A wolf at the Table" Augusten Burroughs. Very disconcerting to me. He is the author of Running with Scissors. I will no doubt read him again, but Yikes! when I finished the book, I had to sit to absorb. Must be all the rain in NJ.
I am finally reading Water for the Elephants, Sara Gruen, very captivating, can't wait for the ending. Next up The Known World and looking forward to My sisters Keeper on hold at the library.
Thank you all for your wonderful recommendations. Hoping by next week I can look forward to something light for the summer, I think we may have one soon.

Wow! I'll definitely look for that title!

The story is very interesting so are the characters. I don't remember the last time the emotions of a character felt so "close". Very "human".
Post-American World. It's ok, but nothing new and full of sweeping generalizations regarding history and politics, some of which I agree with and some which I don't
