I don't know how this book -- this type of story -- can become a page-turner in the second half (it's a quiet story) like some reviewers said, but that doesn't matter. I'm just enjoying the process. Even if it stays quiet until the end, I'm more than good with that.

The author is really a beautiful writer.
There you go Dawn. Now I HAVE to read this. So the two new Kindle books that I swore were not going to the back burner or the Kindle never to be seen again list are indeed going there because you know I have to read this first and the next in the Mr Mercedes series is released June 2nd. So there go two more books to the kindle graveyard of books! On the bright side retirement is still looming at the end of June so maybe I will finally get to all those books.

Yup! It's on Boston Public Library's website right now, in fact, as well as on my local library's site in Montreal.

I just finished reading "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult. It was an excellent read, but quite disturbing.
