I am a big fan of Herman Wouk. I'm rereading The Winds of War
and I'll then reread his follow up novel, War and Remembrance.
Wolk is my second favorite author and just barely behind my favorite Leon Uris.
Oh, I also replaced my kindle with a PaperWhite kindle. OMG!
A Canadian helped me with my first kindle. Another Canadian helped me with the PaperWhite.
Many thanks to two very kind and marvelous women who helped a person they have never met face to face: Dawn and NetWit.

So far it's a pretty raw account of the Russian side of the Crimean War. It's one of Tolstoy's earliest works and I believe it greatly influenced Hemingway.

Isn't the PaperWhite just marvelous? Mine died on me and I replaced it with a Voyage. That was a mistake! The Voyage was a lot more expensive than the PW but not as good! Lesson learned.
Can you use the paperwhite at night and see the print? I have an original basic kindle and I need a light to read at night.
OK…craziness happening here. We unexpectedly sold our house this weekend. We have to be moved out in 4 weeks…that's a lot of stuff to move.
Won't be reading much.
I will be starting The Lake House for a group read tomorrow. I have no idea how long it will take me to read it. I need to get an audiobook for the ride back north so I need to make time for a library trip.
I enjoyed 11-22-63 tremendously, I hope you will too!
I LOVED this book and literally could not put it down. And I have reservations about Stephen King - I think he's hit or miss and I often toss his books aside in exasperation. But sometimes he really nails it and this is one of those times.
Just wading into Salman Rushdie's "The Enchantress of Florence."
