I read The Girls a couple years ago. It's a wonderful, heartwarming book. I put The Mountain Story
on hold.

OK, OK, I just ordered The Girls! It will join about 15 other books sitting in a stack on the side of my bed but hey, I'll get to it!

I didn't know it was about conjoined twins...sheeze, I can't resist that.

Pssst. Put it at the top of the stack.

I had no interest in a book that had conjoined twins as the main characters. No interest. None. Zero. It gives me the shivers. I don't know why I agreed to read this book but I'm so glad that I did. It was incredible.

I am reading two books now - "The History of Underclothes" (absolutely fascinating) and "The Boy Kings of Texas" (beautiful writing style) and as soon as I am done with these, I think I will read "The Girls." I am always very intrigued by stories of conjoined twins. They amaze me. My husband makes fun of me in fact, because when he's out of town he will often call in the evenings and say, "So...are you watching a documentary on conjoined twins or Tudor women?"

If I could find both in one documentary or book I'd think I'd died and gone to heaven.

Ok, now I'm in.
pros
Finished Corsets and Codpieces and it was very interesting. Reading Furiously Happy and it's a great read, put out by a girl blogger with depression and anxiety. She sure has harnessed those two things into a funny book.

Started A Man Called Ove. I don't find him very likable (possibly because I have some of his traits ). But barely into it.

You wrote exactly how I would view a book on conjoined twins. Peer pressure can be a handy tool!
