Currently in the middle of rereading Stephen King's Dark Tower series. Next up are five books by Jean M. Auel - "Clan of the Cave Bear" right through "Shelters of Stone". These were a gift from a neighbor. We had got to talking one day about what we each enjoyed reading. I loaned her a series of eight books and she gave me these five! (She's an older woman, wanting to lessen some of her collections, whereas I'm still building my collections!)

"Fire" is even better. . . Larsson is addictive. . . enjoy! by the way, the "situation" at the end of Tatoo left me crying. . . maybe hit a bit close to home for me. . . how was it for you?

It was sad...I wanted it to work out differently.

okay well I just picked up a copy of cane river by lalita tademy and it was reccomended by oprah but did not get it because of that , since I tend to think that some of her book reccomendations are really boring books and dont hold my interest very long . so far this one is great and will come back when I finish it .

I've got The Help in my soon-to-be-read stack and I am looking forward to it.

I just started reading The Uninvited by Dorothy Macardle, published in 1942. I loved the movie made in 1944 starring Ray Milland.
The Merry Wives of Maggody, by Joan Hess is next. I love the antics of those madcap Maggodyites.

Finished reading "The Help" last week...LOVED it! It just might have replaced my previous all-time favorite "Presumed Innocent" by Scott Turow. If you have a pile of books to read be sure to read "The Help" first!
Also finished "A Reliable Wife" and didn't really care for it. A rather oppressive, somewhat depressing read that I had to force myself to finish. The whole story line was unbelievable to me.
