Just finished two sets of books - Sigrid Undset's Kristen Lavransdatter series and Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series.

Currently reading: The Ghost Map by Steven Johnson, a non-fiction account of the cholera outbreak in 1854 London and how it shaped the city.

"Wastelands" an anthology of "stories of the apocalypse", although stories of the POST apocalypse may be more apt.

can you all post what these books are about so I can see if i can find a book like would fit me? I like Nicholas Sparks' books and mystery books. I also just finished "1985" by George Orwell so if you know of any books that are along any of those lines I'd like to know about them. I want a book that will keep me on the edge of my seat.

Thanks!

I'm reading Horns by Joe Hill. So far I'm liking it better than The Heart Shaped Box.

The Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. Reading them out of order, but it doesn't matter. I read for the Eric and Sookie bits.

I have to admit that I rarely read anything high-brow. Genre fiction is for me!!

That would be "1984" = ) - it's probably pretty easy to just do a google search on any title that grabs your fancy - I do that a lot here even when the poster gives a brief synopsis.

Especially if you go to amazon.com and put in the title there's also reader reviews plus I often find other similar books at the same time.
