When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris.

Warning: DO NOT read Sedaris at night, in bed, when next to a sleeping partner. The poorly supressed giggles and the flat out LOL moments will wake them. Just saying.

I'm most interested in reading this book. I love the history of New York's Lower East Side. I spend at least a day there when I'm in the city. I start on Hester street and move out from there.

Thanks for recommending it.

I've finally finished "Notorious Royal Marriages". A very good book if you like to get an overview about how marriages where arranged in the royal houses over the last centuries. Made me pick out some interesting persons about whom I want to read more.

Now I need something more entertaining so I started "Brother Odd" by Dean Koontz. Quite good so far.

I am having a hard time lately reading.

I will definitely check out the Blackest Bird which sounds like if I could start it, I would be drawn in.
More than one person recommended Notorious Royal Marriages and I requested it at the library and hope to remember to pick it up so I can really enjoy that one.
I do appreciate the suggestions here. So to answer honestly, I am not reading anything but I really do plan to shortly.

Read another of the books randomly grabbed off the library shelves, and this one made the trip there and back worthwhile "Dating Deam Men" by Harley Jane Kozak. It's a "fringe" mob comedy basicallly. I loved it

I'm currently reading Wasp by Eric Frank Russell. No, it's not about White people who play golf and live on Long Island, it's a sci-fi novel about asymmetrical warfare. Very entertaining and highly recommended so far...

It's quite possible that that was the only movie ever made that was better than the book.

Another random grab, and I was really pleased with this one. "What the Dead Know" by Laura Lippman. I'm actually thinking of looking for some of her other books now.
