phonelady, thanks for the info , especially on "The Distant Echo". I wasn't going to read it unless someone gave it an excellent review.

Default Some transforming, some disappointing

Here's a quick list:

The Soul of Money by Lynne Twist: transforming
Interpreter of Maladies: I put it down, inexplicably. Probably just had enough of it.
The Seasoning of Rebecca by Claude Limoges: Love the story, love the characters, love the language, love the point to it, so I just keep returning to it.
The Shell Seekers by Rosamunde Pilcher: Slow start, not really into it.
The Big Why by Michael Winter: Getting impatient with this, too, though the subject is interesting.
Outcasts United by Warren St. John: Finished it recently. Great read - fast, fascinating, informative.

Before the Big Bang: The Prehistory of Our Universe by Brian Clegg. I get lost at times, but by sticking it out, I'm learning a lot. Next up: I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou.

I'm glad, too. You are in for a treat. It's my favorite book of all time.
I hope you like it as much as I do.
