I'm reading Amazon.com: Good-Bye, Chunky Rice (9781891830099): Craig Thompson: Books

which was a Christmas gift from my daughter, and

Amazon.com: The Pushcart Prize XXXV: Best of the Small Presses (2011 Edition) (The Pushcart Prize) (9781888889604): Bill Henderson, The Pushcart Prize Editors: Books

because I looooove anthologies.
I love what you are reading! How wonderful that your daughter bought you a book for Christmas! I have never been much of a graphic novel person, but this book now has my attention. I have added the author to my "list". <sigh>

I dove in!! I am already on my second book! It is sooo good to have my indecisiveness behind me. LOL!! I pushed the self-help books aside for now.

Agreed.

It has been a long time since I first read it. I purchased the 50th anniversary edition and it is in my pile for 2011.

I read Atlas Shrugged about 25 years ago... I still have my book. That was the summer of Ayn Rand. LOL. How funny that I can define most of my summers by what I was reading at the time...

I'm reading Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl by Harriet Jacobs - one of the first open discussions about the sexual harassment and abuse endured by slave women. I'm finding it very interesting yet just as disturbing.

This one sounds like something along the lines of the book "One thousand white women by Jim Fergus . It was a good book some women wont read it because of the abuses mentioned and Im sure alot will miss out on this one as well . I happen to enjoy One thousand white women .
