Whatever was I thinking buying this book???

It's a riddle wrapped in a soap opera. Not my thing at all.

I'll have to find something else. Or I'll unpack some more.

Wasn't that life story also made into a movie which I cannot recall the name of- Hilary Swank was in it? Very very sad.

Moving on...

Now I'm reading History of a Suicide, a memoir by Jill Bialosky. Not the best-written book that I've read, by any stretch of the imagination, but it's touching and there are some sentences that she's written that are definitely thought-provoking.

Geez, don't let work get in the way of your reading time! Just find a better book!

Yes, Boys Don't Cry. I think Swank won an Academy Award for it.

I'm almost done reading Fire of the Covenant by Gerald Lund. It makes the Donner party look like an inconvienence.

Finished Animal Farm and am now reading Bloody Crimes: The Chase for Jefferson Davis and the Death Pageant for Lincoln's Corpse by James Swanson. I think the title has been modified slightly for the newer paperback edition. Anyway, I've read his first book, Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer, which was excellent, and I'm hoping this one is just as good.

I read Manhunt, too, and really enjoyed it. I didn't know he had another. I'll look for it.

North River by Pete Hamill. I don't expect it to be light-hearted, but I'm ready for a bit of lighter fiction after the heavy non-fiction memoir that was History of a Suicide.
