"Hot, Flat and Crowded" by Thoma Friedman, for a book discussion group. It's unfocused, in my opinion.

When Will There Be Good News by Kate Atkinson. Really good page turner, much better than her previous works. I couldn't put it down...

Back to reading "The Eight" by Neville. It is really quite interesting. took a break from it to read some books from the library that I had requested and could only keep a couple of weeks! This book is about the special chess set that had belonged to Charlemagne, and the mysteries that surround it.

Do you have to have read her previous books before you read this one?

The Ghost Map, which is about the search for the source of a cholera epidemic in London in the 1850's. It's a good story, but the author is kind of beating it to death.

Prior to that I read Run, by Ann Patchett. I always enjoy her writing and this was no exception, but I thought the end of the book was a little weak. Bel Canto is still my favorite of hers.
