Devil in the Grove by Gilbert King won the Pulitzer Prize for non-fiction.

Gilbert King Pulitzer Groveland: Author Gilbert King wins Pulitzer Prize for book about the notorious Groveland Four case - Orlando Sentinel

I read this a couple of months ago and recommended it on here. Very well told, fascinating but heartbreaking story.

I just downloaded this to my kindle about an hour ago, Marlow. Thurgood Marshall is one of my heroes. I am looking forward to reading it.

He's a hero of mine, too. In fact I just got a biography of him by Juan Williams that I'll be starting soon.

Devil in the Grove is one of those books I want to hop up and down about and tell people to read. But then I worry about over-hyping.... If you want to know the other books on my hop-up-and-down list, I'll tell you. Calmly.

About 3/4 of the way through "Under A Wing" a Memoir by Reeve Lindbergh, the youngest child of Charles and Anne Morrrow Lindbergh about her mother Anne, published in 1998. I haven't done any reading before about the Lindberghs but this book has made me consider that I should. They were a fascinating family and should be remembered for more than the tragedy of the kidnapped child. This book was written by their youngestand 6th child. I probably will also read "A Gift from the Sea" which is Anne Morrow's most well known book.

The Moon Is Down by John Steinbeck. I swear I'm not intentionally only reading Steinbeck lately, but whenever I go to the book store I never find any of the other books I'm looking for, and there always seems to be some Steinbeck novel I haven't read.

I'll ask when I stop by the library later this week.
Got the email notification today (a week later than it was due to be returned) & collected my book-yay (finally) !
