First off...sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but it seemed most logical to me to post it here.

Second, I searched but could not find a thread dedicated simply to the myriad of covers that exist on the market to hold/protect/display the Kindle Reader.

My wife has the Kindle with the keyboard on the bottom and I'd like to buy her cover for a gift. She loves her Kindle, but misses the book cover feel, if that makes sense. She doesn't need anything heavy-duty for protection...she just wants that book cover feel.

Can anyone that uses a cover for their Kindle suggest their favorite for this particular need.

Thanks in advance.

It depends on which version of the Kindle she has. I am currently using the K3 and have the lighted cover, which I absolutely love. The built in light needs no batteries and runs off of the Kindle's power. I especially love it for reading in bed without disturbing my husband. Here's a link:
Amazon.com: Kindle Lighted Cover (Fits Kindle Keyboard): Kindle Store

I got a Kindle Touch for my birthday, but have not started using it yet. I'm waiting for the lighted cover I'm getting for Christmas.

It's now called the Kindle Keyboard.

I also love the Kindle lighted cover - super convenient but has a "journal" or "notebook" feel and look to it, rather than "book cover" feel.

These sites attempt to make the covers more book-like: PQ Cases for Kindles and Nook | Moleskin Style eReader Cases
Amazon Kindle Case, Classic Faux book covers for the amazon kindle 3 and various eReaders, Vintage & Unique cases hand made at the Manor Bindery in the UK

If you're feeling crafty, there are tons of instructions on how to make a Kindle cover out of your favorite book cover. Just google it.

Do you know of any problems with the non-lighted Amazon cover?

Maggie & PA2UK....I bought the lighted Kindle cover that you both like last night. I'll let you know how she liked it after Christmas. Thanks.
