Favorite book - can't pick just one.

Favorite author - again can't pick just one, but a couple of favorites high on the list are Diana Gabaldon and Kim Vogel Sawyer.

My favorite author (so far) is definitely Sinclair Lewis.

Favorite book...I'm not so sure. I'm going to say either Main Street, Arrowsmith, or It Can't Happen Here.

Jane Austen, always, and Pride and Prejudice is not just my favorite book, but in my opinion, the best novel in the English language that I've encountered.

You understand, I'm drawing a distinction between "favorite" and "best."
