Wall Street Journal Columnist Jeffrey Zaslow Is Killed in Crash - WSJ.com

Author Jeffrey Zaslow died in a car crash. Zaslow wrote "The Last Lecture" with Randy Pausch as well as another favorite of mine "The Girls From Ames". I was looking forward to his book that was very recently released, "The Magic Room" about daughters getting married. I loved his writing and always felt like he did an exceptional job of getting female emotions and friendships down on paper in a way that many male authors struggle with.

I will miss the books that he never got to write.

Thanks, I was going to post about it.

I'll add this, which is a warmer, more person piece:

Life’s Frailty, and the Gestures That Go a Long Way
Well: Remembering Jeffrey Zaslow - NYTimes.com

Thanks for posting this! I hadn't heard Very sad. I'd read the Last Lecture, and have the Magic Room but haven't read it yet... sounds like The Girls From Ames will be a worthwhile read also!

I was shocked and saddened to hear about his accident. Recently, I heard him interviewed on NPR...he was discussing his newest book, The Magic Room. I happened to notice this book at my local bookstore, and as I looked through it, I decided that someday I'd like to read it.

The Magic Room: A Story About The Love We Wish For Our Daughters (Gotham) by Jeffrey Zaslow

The day after his accident, I read several articles online about his death. You could tell by the comments left by friends and acquaintances that he was a person who was very well thought of by others. I hope that gives his family a bit of comfort.
