The book At Last keeps popping up on my radar -- from Amazon suggestions to the New York Times Book Review -- and I finally had a look to see what it was about.

Apparently, it's the finale to the Patrick Melrose novels (four of them) by Edware St. Aubyn. So this makes the fifth.

I'm almost tempted to buy them all, for some odd reason. (That odd reason is my impulsiveness... and mild OCD. )

But before I rush forward (look at me, reigning in my tendencies! go me! ), I'm curious if any of you have read any of these novels by Edward St. Aubyn:

Never Mind
Bad News
Some Hope
Mother's Milk
At Last

So, HAS anyone here read them? Liked them?

Bueller? Bueller?

Seriously, nobody here has read anything by this man? I may have to bite the bullet and get this series of books so that I can think of myself as a trailblazer.

I've never heard of this author, Dawn.

I did see that 4 of his novels are packaged in one book and available on amazon for around $12.00. Good deal if you like the writer.

Go ahead and blaze the trail for us. I trust your opinions.

Ha! That "package deal" is what caught my eye. And only $10 on Kindle... and instant. I'm going to finish what I'm reading now and then decide. Even so, I'll likely read other books from the library, as they become available to me, before I get to the four-pack (and then the new "final" novel that just came out, for which I'll wait until it's out in paperback, probably), but I think I'm going to do it.
