I loved the 13th Tale. Couldn't put it down.

I took the 'crazy' request to be fun or humorous, that she was looking for something different. Water For Elephants and Time Traveller's Wife are drama, with maybe a few humorous moments, but... meh.
For the most part I like to be entertained, I want to finish a book and be sad that it's ended. Neither of those books met that criteria for me.

I'm not sure exactly what she thinks for drama or comedy, if she has a preference. I'm just passing along the suggestions and she appreciates it. Plus, I'm getting suggestions for me too. I don't know how much of one or the other is more important, so whatever is suggested is great! Thank you so much for your responses!!
