Okay don't judge me but I would like a dark vampire romance with a human and vampire (or at least someone who was formerly human for a short while).. but really dark with a little sex (i don't mind if there isn't any).. kind of on an Anne Rice style but not really...

I've considered The Sookie Stackhouse series but too many faires, werepanthers, witches, shifters, and Sookie seems to rump it up with any one so thats not really romantic to me... lol

Any advice on a good one?

Check out the books by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro. Make sure the main character is Count Saint-Germain. She wrote a series about him. The writing is good and the stories are also very good. Each book takes place in a different part of the world as he "lives" through the ages.
