Finished it over the weekend. This is NOT a new novel. It is a collection of shorty stories, a few of which involve Joe Pickett, one of which is totally Nate Romanowski, and the others are all stand-alones, with stories set in the modern-day Mountain West; Paris, France; and even a bit of historical fiction about two mountain men snowed in for the winter.
It's a great anthology. Not a weak story in the mix.
Le Sauvage Noble (the story set in France) is probably one of the darkest C.J. Box stories I've ever read, yet it's also the funniest.
If you like C.J. Box, you'll love this anthology. If you like great crime fiction or adventure stories, you'll love this anthology.
If you don't like C.J. Box, I'll let Mr. T do the talkin.
