Thanks for ALL THE LISTS, Lisa! I added a bunch more to my "to read" list, especially from the Best of 2014 list, which I found embedded in one of the lists that you linked. Sigh...
I don't have reading goals per se. I love to read, so am always doing so. If I had to make a quantifiable goal, maybe it would be to swap an hour offline for some more reading. I've tried to set goals like reading the classics, but my preference is contemporary literary fiction, with some nonfiction.
My goal is to post what book I am reading, both to share with y'all and not just lurk (I've gotten some good ideas from what you post), but also to acknowledge my likes and dislikes, without judgment or embarrassment (taking my yoga off the mat). I get really hard on myself when I don't like books, especially when critics raved about them. But in the spirit of owning up to who I am and what I like, off to post on the What Are You Reading thread...
I guess my goal might be to throw out 50-100 books.
Throw them my way, please.
