Since I found out her great credentials as a writer I am starting to get into her books. Just finished the 'I-5 Killer' and was real impressed. What were your favorite books by her.

I really liked that one but two that really stand out are:

The Stranger Beside Me (about Ted Bundy, who she worked with for a short time)

Small Sacrifices (about a mother who kills her children)

"Small Sacrifices" was especially chilling. It really gave me the creeps.

You reminded me of how much I like her style of writing so I just ordered three used books of hers from Amazon!

I just got one of the books - a first edition of Bitter Harvest - and guess what! Ann Rule signed this book! And what a score - I only paid $4 for it on Amazon!

Ditto. ^^^

I read The Stranger Beside Me first and then Small Sacrifices. I've read every book she wrote.

Dead By Sunset
And never Let Her Go
Heart Full of Lies
Every Breath You Take

Seriously, I've read every single one of her books, and can't think of a single one I didn't love.

I can feel an Ann Rule binge coming on. I've read about six or seven of her books so I need to read the rest of them!

I love Amazon because I love being able to buy hardback books for $4. I couldn't believe it when I opened "Bitter Harvest" and realized it was signed by the author and was a first edition! Wow. That's never happened to me before. I have always been happy enough just to get a good hardback book for a coupla dollars. Now I'll be immediately flipping to the first few pages to see if there's any signature!

Once I bought a very old edition of Romeo and Juliet at a thrift shop, and when I got home, I found a very old pressed rose between the pages, at a point where the two characters say goodbye to each other. I have always wondered about what story was behind that rose.

I just finished "Bitter Harvest" - couldn't put it down. My next one will be "Dead By Sunset." I also just ordered "Small Sacrifices" and will read it again - last time I read it was 25 years ago and I recall it as being riveting.
