When I think of Harper Lee I think what the late Gregory Peck said once while he was filming to kill a mockingbird , Harper came up to me and told me I looked just like her daddy . I think that is a fitting tribute to such a good writer don't you all agree ? May she RIP and I hope she is up there rocking in a rocking chair on a front porch and talking with Gregory Peck . I think she must have had a great friendship with him because her grandson is named Peck .

One of the finest books ever written, one of the finest movies ever filmed.

Rest in Peace.

Rest in peace, Miss Lee. Your book had a tremendous influence on my life after reading it for the first time in third grade. I have read it at least once a year ever since 1963.

And Mr. Peck's grandson is named Harper, so I think the respect was mutual!

Well, at least her poor health -- and, reportedly, her mistreatment at the hands of others -- is at an end.

And, like so many others, my favorite book of all time is To Kill A Mockingbird.

Could not have said it better. Rare indeed to have such a perfect complement (book/movie) to each other.
