Does anyone know if Jean Auel is ever going to come out with the next book to the series? Book 4 (Plains of Passage) came out in I believe 1990.... Book 5 (Shelters of Stone) was what, 2002? No, couldn't have been only 6 years ago... I'd also like a recommendation of similar books that you may have read... Thanks

You might want to drop Random House a note or email query and ask if another book is in the works. I don't see anything about it on line. Here's their reference page:

There's Michael and Kathleen Gear's 'People' series. They start a bit later, with the first humans crossing the Bering land bridge from Siberia. If I remember right, the first one is People of the Wolf, do a search for their website.

Check their website. I can't, something on it keeps tripping my pop-up blocker.

The Shelters of Stone was released on 30 April, 2002. Book 6 of the Earth Children's series is being worked on still.
