Sci Fi novel.Started but didn't finish about two years ago. Women wakes up from stasis in deep space. Name starts with an L. She finds out everyone on the ship now has some kind of telepathy.Since she mentions she has children and grandchildren, but is still really young looking, I think it's said she's from a society so far in the future their genetic codes have been altered to be practically immortal.
Also from the summary, from what I remember, I don't think shes the actual main character. The crew on the ship meets some alien creatures that are sentient. I think doppelgangers somehow are a part of this story. The book is not a stand alone I don't think. The author from the book I'm looking for is male and I think there's something about a void in space that they want to explore,but it's dangerous...
