Okay, basicaly I ve alway loved reading novels, since 15, I would pick them at the library, and at that time I never cared much to brand into my mind who is the author and what is the title. Well I did remember but I just forgot over the years. So now I find myself lost as to what I ve read and have not read. I buy a book and couple of pages into it realize that I ve read it. Now this is not just with the books it happens with films as well, and I am only turning 27 in july, Lord knows if I am this bad now and I ve got many years to go I need help. Can any of you guys give me tips as to how I can better manage my little problem...
you can use the library and at least you won't be out the money when you figure out you have already read the book! My library, although small, allow us to sign up for our favorite authors and we automatically get all of their new books. you might check and see what your library has available. it is one of the best bargains around.
it is obvious to me that you must have a computer, i say, put it to good use and make a file that contains the books you have read. you could even give a brief synopsis of the book, what you liked and didn't like etc. this would be a great resource to have later in life(when our memories fail us) or just to let a friend know about a great book you read!
maybe later, you could write your own book about how much reading meant to you!!!
We have a similar thread on this topic. You can find some tips there, also!
There are several good suggestions on another thread similar to this one "How or Do You Keep a Record of All of Those Books?"
Many of us have posted our little "secrets" of not duplicating books on that thread.
