Goodreads forcing you to link your amazon account? (edition, e-book)

What's the deal with this? In order to do certain things on Good reads they are forcing you to link your Amazon account? What if you don't have one or just plain don't want it linked? You can't participate in giveaways and so forth anymore?

What? I haven't noticed this, and I'm on goodreads fairly frequently.

I just entered a giveaway and I didn't have to link my amazon account. One thing I did notice is that you used to have to uncheck a box if you didn't want the book put on your Want to Read shelf. They now make that a precondition of entering the giveaway. But i haven't linked my amazon account.

Maybe you need to link your amazon account if the giveaway is a kindle edition.

This. You can sort the giveaways by print, kindle, or all giveaways. The Kindle giveaways need you to link your Amazon account.

Oh, I bet that's it. I DID notice recently that there were a TON more kindle giveaways rather suddenly. I don't want kindle books, so I have to change the option to it only showing paper books. But it makes complete sense that you'd need to link your account so they can deliver the e-book to you.
