How come Nick's father was never considered to be a possible suspect?
He kept escaping the home he was in for dimentia and going there.
He wasn't sane and hated Amy.
Even though he was in his 60s I think it could have been possible for him to take her off guard and physically over power her in some way.
I find it strange that before Nick knew what was really going on and was under the impression that someone did take her that he didn't wonder if his father did it, who coincidentally escaped that same day.
And who knows how many times he escaped the home and snuck back in undetected?

Did I miss something because I read it when I was half asleep?

I never saw the movie I'm just going on what I read.
