I may take a break, but still plan to read the others. I like almost any genre of well written fiction. Science Fiction is always my first choice.

I'm now a little over halfway through the first book and have to say I had been excited about the series but it's just not catching me. And if you liked the first better than the second.....I will finish the first but am not sure I'll read the second.

I finished the second book. Got a lot better towards the end. The book is very wordy and with many characters (with strange names) so it takes a little work to follow. But I am sure the author is setting us up for the next couple books...... I will definately continue with the series (after a break).

Ah, so the take after the second book wasn't as bad as I thought it would be

I'm thinking of trying horror after I finish my current read. Despite your favourable account of the first book, I'm not sure I've been sold on it but I will keep an eye on your progress with the series, should you continue posting in this thread.
