I have one grand niece that is into the drama/performance scene as well as science. She reads at an advanced level
One grand niece (fraternal twins) that is into sports (currently rowing). Not as strong a reader

Would love some books they see their own interests as successes for girls like them. If there are any

Not exactly what you're asking for, but I can recommend "Alive" by Chandler Baker. It's Y fiction about a girl who gets a heart transplant and the heart is leading her in a different direction. Page turner.

The other is The Boys in the Boat, nonfiction story of the US Rowing Team in the 1935 olympics in Germany. Really good.
