And I like the illustration. The original print version separated fiction and non, but this doesn't seem to.

Interesting and thank you. I don't usually read books as soon as they come out as I generally get them from the library and after I see them recommended. I guess now that it's 2020 someo of them should be available. I know I continue to hear great things about Dutch House. (haven't read it)
Good list to refer to!

I'm even more extreme than you, Salonva. I'm happy to wait a several years to see if the books are then still considered worthwhile.

Seems like libraries often do get new books, but there's a waiting line of reservations.

I've read The Dutch House and Exhalation - both excellent reads. The Institute had too much politics in it for me to recommend. Who cares which way SK leans? Don't want to read about it so they can snicker at cocktail parties. They didn't have any of my 2019 top 5.

01 Olive Kitteridge (Olive Kitteridge #1), Elizabeth Strout 2008
02 The History of Bees (Klimakvartetten #1), Maja Lunde 2015
03 The Art Forger, B.A. Shapiro 2012
04 The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane, Lisa See 2017
05 Where the Crawdads Sing, Delia Owens 2018

Except that the list is for books published in 2019, not read in 2019.
