I read this book back in the early 1990s. It was kind of trashy chick lit, written in the style of Jackie Collins. Lots of "wham-bam-thank you ma'am" written in it.
The basic plot was a woman, the main character, had an affair with her professor, a red haired prof who just happened to be well endowed (and Jewish). Unbeknownst to him, she had a kid by him and was going to introduce the child to him at the college reunion, years later.
He was well liked. And the book also showed his perspective of his life. He had fallen in love with a beautiful dark haired Latina woman, his first love, and they were forced apart by their families. He spent his life wondering what happened to this woman.
Unknown to him, he had a child with this woman also, who is also looking to meet him at the reunion.
At the end of the book, the main character, shows up at the reunion with her red-headed daughter. It just so happens that there are other women there, all with their red-headed children, the professor's offspring. The professor arrives and he meets his daughter by his first love, who happens to look exactly like his first love.
He has a heart attack at the sight of her and dies.
Anyone know the name of this book? Thanks for reading. Any and all help will be appreciated.
