I have very little time to read these days... I am a mom of two young girls. One (4yrs old) doesn't like going to bed... so my night time reading has been cut short. I love Chick Lit because it is usually a funny short read that I can do in the short time I have... what are your favorites? I've devoured the Shopaholic Series, along with Marian Keyes books, Nanny Diaries, Devil Wears Prada, Mauve Binchy's stuff... I am just looking for other great fluff to fill my head and time with...
The Seat Of The Soul by Gary Zukav. Changed forever the scope and dimensions of my ability to perceive life.
I expect that his The Heart of the Soul, about emotional awareness, and The Mind of the Soul, about responsible choice, are also mind-blowers.
For some fun reading, try Jennifer Crusie. Her books are entertaining and funny, but well written. I liked all her books, but Bet Me, Fast Women, and Getting Rid of Bradley were favorites. It's not deep, meaningful, heavy reading, but she's got a clever, witty style.

I like Faking It the best, but I like all her stuff. Early Nora Roberts - like Carnal Innocence - some of Elizabeth Lowell, Jayne Ann Krentz, Lori Foster, for period pieces Georgette Heyer [who also did some mysteries a la Agatha Christie], Joan Smith - my favorite of her's is Aunt Sophie's Diamonds. It's not necessarily 'deep and meaningful' but the personalities of the writers shines through, and they give a different perspective on ordinary life. And in some cases, extraordinary life.

i am reading 3 of her books now, simultaneously. i hope i dont read everything! i guess i will have to start over and re read. i read her books throughout my pregnancy. she always makes me wish i was in Ireland and great britain and or in the 1950's and 60's.
"The Little Lady Agency" series by Hester Browne is a hoot. Very funny and easy reads. I just started the 3rd one. I hope she continues to write them. The Ya-Ya Series by Rebecca Wells is great also. I read the Divine Secrets over a decade ago and still love it. Try to re-read them about once a year.
It is a teen series, but the books still give me goosebumps and i've read them four times each.
The Twilight saga (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn) is my very favorite series from author Stephenie Meyer. Maybe you've heard of them, maybe not. The books have a rather large following, expanding worldwide. Its the story of love between a vampire and a human girl.
You should check them out. Breaking Dawn isn't set to release until August 2, so i've been literally bouncing up and down in anticipation since I started the series last September.
