Forgive me if this was posted recently.... I looked back two pages and didnt see anything.

Anyone else excited about Nicholas Sparks new book coming? I heard on my morning radio station they are in the works of a movie for the new book already. One of the characters is Miley Cyrus. Not one I can picture in his movies?

I'm also looking forward to the movie next week!

I love his books. The new one is THE LUCKY ONE (available Sept. 30) about a Marine in Iraq who finds a photo of a woman and sets out to find her when he gets back home. Sounds like another suspenseful romantic book.
But UGH - Miley Cyrus? Puhleeeeeze!! NO!!

I know. The fact that Miley Cirus is going to be in the movie is automaticly going to turn away viewers that are fans of his books and bring in ones that aren't even old enought to watch a pg-13 movie. I do love Nicholas Sparks though. His books have a 98% success rate for making me cry. And I'm extremly excited about Nights in Rodanthe!!! It was such a good book. Yep, cried in that one too.

Great - I'm actually a Sparks fan and take abuse from my friends about it all the time. He's not a "serious" author etc. Hey, I like a good romance. But this is NOT going to help my cause....

You should tell your friends that unless they have read one of his books then they don't have a leg to stand on and that obviously someone must like his books or else he wouldn't be filthy rich from writing them and they wouldn't have turned five of them into major motion pictures! that should probably shut them up lol

I just finished The Lucky One and it was really good. Of course, that didn't surprise me. What i'm confused about is, what charactor is Miley Cirus supposed to play exactly?? There are no roles that call for a sixteen year old girl. The lead female charactor is supposed to be almost thirty! Hmmm...

Ummm...No. I'm sorry. I actually read The Notebook when I was at the beach, when there was no other reading material. Just not my cup of tea.

I just think there's a huge gap between what sells a lot of books and what makes for good reading.

We can only hope that some Mylie Cyrus fans will begin to look at N. Sparks books....then maybe something else on the shelf. What a concept!

Honestly, I already think Miley Cyrus fans read Nicholas Sparks. He is just an amazing author and all his film adaptations have been really well-received as well. I am sure The Last Song will do well too.
