I've read his other books and liked them because of Langdon. I noticed that Deception Point has another character so I'm kind of hesitant to read it. Is this equally as good as Angels & Demons? or is it just an ok read?

I read this book a few years ago and thought it was just as interesting as his others. Although the subject matter is different than The DaVinci Code and Angels & Demons, the pace of the book was similar and there was still a high level of intelligence to it that I found enjoyable. If you liked his other books I think you will enjoy reading this one too.

His other book is "Digital Fortress". It is also quite good. Deals with computer technology and national security. I read it a long time ago too. After I read DaVinci Code, I had to get all of the other books from the library!
