Elizabeth Moon is pretty successful in the sci-fi/fantasy genre but her earliest series seems to have disappeared (because it was under a different pub? not sure) and never mentioned anywhere, hard to find even on her own website.
I for one love the 3 books series. I did email the author through her website and she emailed me back about the historical research she did for the series, she was quite forthcoming and nice. When you read the series it comes as no surprise that she was in the Marines for a tour.

I enjoyed the series quite a bit!
It is such meaty material I am sure it would be good to reread.
Unfortunately, I seemed to have misplaced it during a move.

I enjoyed it very much, but I liked everything of her's that I read. And if I recall, back when I first came across it, I got the first book [not the first in the series] in a thrift shop, then had to find the other two in second hand book stores. I thought it was strange, because again, as I recall, she'd just won an award or runner-up or something for it.

I lost a couple of the series in a move too. When I went to buy them on line I couldn't find them! I went looking again recently and did find them. The first book has this big "1.99 Special" printed as part of the cover. Its so weird.
Have you any of her recent books - do they even list these in the "other books by"? Its almost like she lost the right to claim them.
