No one has mentioned Chloe Niell, the Chicagoland vampire series. The first book is 'Some Girls Bite'. I also love the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost, 'Halfway to the Grave' is the first.

No one mentioned L.J. Smith's "Vampire Diaries". Is it any good? I was planning to read the books because I love the T.V. adaptation.

And I want to read the Blue Bloods series. But why do I feel like it's Gossip Girl, Vampire version?

Not quite a series, but as far as Vampire books go, I would recommend Soul Half Empty, Amazon.com: Soul Half Empty: The Dale Bridge Series (9781432757311): Vik Azeem: Books

It's hard to believe the first 5 books had no sex scenes & the new ones are way too much!!
My ex-girlfriend called them "vampire porn".

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. Fantastic book. Gripping. Scary. I read it last summer, and will read it again this summer, to pick up what I might have missed the first time, as it is a very long book.

It kind of made me want to read Bram Stoker's, Dracula, but I haven't attempted it yet.

One of the best books ever written, IMO. You won't be able to put it down.
