No one has mentioned Chloe Niell, the Chicagoland vampire series. The first book is 'Some Girls Bite'. I also love the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost, 'Halfway to the Grave' is the first.
someone told me about the "House of Night" series. it's a YA series, and I can't vouch for it's quality (I haven't read it yet) but heard it was a popular series
i can vouch for it i've read them and their pretty good.
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. Fantastic book. Gripping. Scary. I read it last summer, and will read it again this summer, to pick up what I might have missed the first time, as it is a very long book.
It kind of made me want to read Bram Stoker's, Dracula, but I haven't attempted it yet.
