Your right, I should have put in a spoiler alert for the Sookie/Chairlaine Harris books. Can't seem to edit now. I didn't think I spoiled too much of the Blake series since I only read the first few books myself.

Just an idea but why don't you get a moderator to delete it? And then you can repost with edits.

Well.. it's been about 6 months since it aired, right? Hmm... I liked it, lol. Like most interpretations of books, I don't think it's perfect.. there are a lot of things I would do differently. But you know what? I think they're def trying to put their own specific 'spin' on the book because they've taken a lot of liberties with the material and.. imo, it looks like it could be a good thing. The plot has changed a bit and it looks more streamlined in one aspect when compared with the book. Lol.. I'm prob not making a lot of sense right now. Anyways, I enjoyed the book and TV series. I like the actress who plays Sookie and the actor for Bill.. the actor who plays Eric hasn't done anything for me, as of yet. I hope that kink gets worked out as Eric has become one of the most interesting aspects of the series for me.
Thanks for responding to my posts FlaGrrrl!!!!! Have you ever read the Stephanie plum novels by Janet evanovich ( i prob just spelled the last name wrong)? They have nothing to do with vamps or the supernatural but they are really good. Stephanie is a bounty hunter because it seems to the be the only job she can keep but she always gets herself into crazy situations that just make you laugh out loud and think only that would happen to stephanie. Even though now that i met Sookie iw ould say only that could happen to stephanie and sookie. Lol. ANyway its a good set of novels to read if you need a new series to read.

So i have just started reading all together dead. I don't know what it is with me and bill but i just have a soft spot for him...humph! I hope there is more bill and sookie action. I also get a weird feeling about Quinn too. Maybe im just not connecting with him as a character.

I am looking forward to seeing the show true blood too. Im just waiting for it to come out on dvd. I wish they would show the episdoes online like many other shows that i watch. Humph! again

Do you guys also watch True Blood? I am annoyed at how they changed the plot when it came to who killed Long Shadow. I mean, they make Eric look much more evil then in the books and Bill is a hero in the show. How will they play out Eric and Sookie's chemistry in the next few seasons? I'm really interested to find out.
Also - I cannot stand how Bill says "Sook-eh" in the show. Yuck.

Anyway - I still think that Sookie will end up with Sam although I want to see her with Eric.

Hey there Max's Mama.. I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't finished the series so I'm going to try to word this carefully, lol. We need one thread for those that've finished the series and those still working on it.

I def agree with your view on Sam vs. Eric.

I don't see how the characters on the HBO series are going to pull off chemistry between Sookie & Eric ..pretty sure you'd agree from reading the book that there seems to be chemistry. I'm not looking forward to that, lol.

And.. as for the change in plot... to me.. it seems more streamlined on the show. Seems like the story will flow a little better than it did in the series. For example, I'm pretty sure we've already seen book 2 on this 1st installment of the HBO series.. and the back story leading into the big scene has already been developed on the show.. filling in gaps that were in the books, imo.

Sookie.. what kind of name is that anyway?
