Just finished this book. Does anyone know if he ever wrote a sequel? I think it practically screams for one....

No sequel. I've found that a lot of his books seem to 'scream for a sequel' but he rarely does them. I can only think off-hand of three - the "Odd Thomas" series; "Fear Nothing" followed by "Seize the Night"; and the "Frankenstein" series, the third of which is due out in a week or so.
